Part IV: Finishing
If you’re building a theater, the time spent finishing is a great time. Just don’t hang the projector too soon, or you might never finish! By this point, you have completed the design and major construction elements discussed earlier, you have run your electrical and wiring, as discussed in Part III of The Home Theater Book, and you are now looking to finish each area of the theater. There is still lots to do, but the end is in sight!
In Part IV readers will look at all the various ways theater owners have finished off their theaters, there are lots of photos in this section, and it is the largest part of the book. Readers will learn about seating, carpet, paint, moulding, sound treatments, wall fabric, and more. When you get to the end of this part of the book, it is time for your Opening Night, and that is how the last part of the book ends – with the final photos showing off the finished theaters on Opening Night. This is when the owners could sit back and enjoy the show!
Below you can see the contents that are inside Part IV of the book. On this page, feel free to leave a comment with a question about Part IV or to suggest a topic or section to add into a future update of Part IV: Construction.
