Part I: Planning

No amazing home theater can be built without serious planning. In the first part of the book, you will examine the basics of home theater, examining the primary components and terms used in the design and building of a home theater. After dealing with all the theories of home theater, then we will discuss the room that will ultimately become your home theater, along with the various basic construction issues that must be addressed in the creation of your theater masterpiece!

Since Part I of the book covers the theories and concepts behind building a home theater, if has far fewer actual photos of home theaters than the rest of the book. If you are wondering when the photos start, don’t worry – when you get to Part II you will have literally hundreds and hundreds of theater photos to examine.
